we pop bottles is a Los Angeles wine tasting community that celebrates diversity in wine. we host wine tasting meetups, wine country retreats and unique wine experiences for people of all backgrounds and experience levels.

the community was established in 2020 by Marcella Thompkins, an Afro-Latinx wine industry professional who believes in being the change you want to see.

How much does it cost to join?

There is no charge to become a member of our community. There are a few ticketed events that range from $50-150, but for most of our meetups, you are just responsible for purchasing your own wine.

What if I don't know anything about wine?

This community is for wine lovers of all experience levels. Whether you're an industry pro or an enthusiastic beginner, there is something for everyone here. All we ask is that you come to our events with an open mind.
